Open days Tue 6th - Sunday 11th March and Thursday 15th – Sunday 18th March

Preview Tuesday 6th March 5-9pm

Gallery Opening times 12-6pm

A group show of paintings by four female artists: Jacky Bellamy, Jane Cattlin, Philippa Paterson,Juliet Robertson.

The overarching theme for the exhibition is that each could proudly be described as an Older Woman Artist. This title has been applied to a growing number of women artists – Rose Wyle, Phylida Barlow and Gillian Ayres – who are producing perhaps their best work and receiving much deserved acclaim in their later years. Viewed in this light Prime is an apposite title because it is a show that recognises the positive place these artists have reached in their creative lives: producing stunning, self assured work and painting in a way that is personal and true to them individually.

This exhibition is curated by local artist/curator Sally Childs. www.curatorattransientart.weebly.com
